With nearly 60 combined years of experience in the field of education and development, the two principal consultants and founders of Jacaranda Educational Develoment offer a vast array of skills, expertise and experience working in a wide variety of contexts.


Bonnie B. Mullinix, Ed.D. Co-President
Bonnie holds a doctorate and masters in Education from the Center for International Education, University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a focus on Adult and International Education and her Bachelors from University of California, Santa Cruz in an individualized major in Transdisciplinary Studies. Since 1986 Dr. Mullinix has presented more than 48 professional papers at national and international conferences and designed, produced, edited and/or published over 45 articles, chapters, books, monographs, manuals and training guides since 1981. She has been active in multiple professional organizations presenting, reviewing, chairing and/or holding multiple officer positions (American Educational Research Association (AERA SIGS: Chair, Faculty Training, Evaluation and Development, Co-secretary/ treasurer/ webmaster, Adult Education and Adult Literacy, and Research Focus on Africa and the Caribbean); Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network in Higher Education (Core Committee, SE Ambassador); Society for Research in Adult Development (SRAD); and the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES)).

David S. McCurry, Ed.D. Co-President
Dr. McCurry has worked internationally and in the US for over 25 years in the fields of Teacher Education, Information and Communications Technology in Education, Field Extension Communications and Curriculum and Materials Development. He has published in the area of technology and society, technology in teacher education and African educational research. After 18 years working in African educational development, he spent 8 years as a professor of education in the US, directing Masters of Education and electronic portfolio assessment programs in addition to regular teaching, research and advising duties before moving to South Carolina and launching Jacaranda Educational Development. His specialties are in the areas of the materials and technology of teaching and learning, qualitative research using visual data (video and photography), application of ethnographic research to organizational assessment and improvement, and African educational development.
